Check for reference work. These days most of the nail technicians are having a page on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. where you can see pictures of their work.
Check if she is attending to training courses. At the end of the course they recieve a diploma which they can hang on their wall or just post about it.
Recommendation is the best, because you can see their job and you can ask about the experience.
Do not choose somebody only because it's close or cheap. Sometimes it's better to go 20 mins more, but to get the service what you would like.
Quality service usually is more expensive, because: Materials used, The traings attend, Will not rush, spends more time for you, Compete on contests, etc. P.s.: Artificial nails are not a must, if we can't afford it just don't do it. A not correctly prepared nails can cause permanent damage and incorrect disinfection can cause unwanted problems.
Personal experience is also important. First check the cleanliness, the nail tech and the surroundings. It's a reflection.
If we're somewhat not happy tell them. If it's insulting for the nail tech and not trying to find a solution, then it's not for you.
Last, but not least. If we can't communicate with the nail tech is also a problem.
